Nurturing Our Youngest
At Good Shepherd we welcome people of all ages in worship including infants and young children. Our 9:45 services include opportunities for children to engage in worship in hands on and age appropriate ways.
A quiet space for babies to eat and rest is located in our Nursery in the Inter†Gen wing. Changing stations are located in both restrooms in the Commons area, the Family restroom in the Inter†Gen wing and the quiet space in the Nursery. Parents are welcome to visit the nursery area with their children during services and ministry events. Audio from the Sanctuary can be heard in the nursery during worship.
The Sacrament of Holy Baptism at Good Shepherd Lutheran
As Lutherans we believe that baptism is a significant day on a person’s faith journey because it is when God makes visible what was always known – that each person is a special Child of God. God promises to love us always no matter where we go or what we do. Baptisms here are performed during worship services so our members of the congregation can support the baptism family on this important day as well as throughout their lives.
Contact the church office at firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule a baptism. Once you have scheduled the baptism through the office, a pastor will contact you about a time to meet. At this meeting you will discuss details, logistics and learn more about this gift of grace.
