The Bully Project: Saturday, November 14

This year alone over 13 million kids in the United States will experience some form of bullying; no doubt one of the largest problems facing our young people today.  Along with a viewing of the award-winning film BULLY, we will focus on how our Christian faith calls us to respond to the bullying epidemic.

Day of Service: Friday, January 15

Joins us in the afternoon on this early release day as we gather to service our community in many ways.  Youth will be split into smaller groups and sent to help with different organizations throughout the Twin Cities.  Projects may include work such as sorting clothes with Neighbors or packing meals with the Dorothy Day Center.

Movie Night, Contact: Friday, February 26

Jodi Foster is astronomer Ellie Arroway, a woman of science.  Matthew McCanaughey is religious scholar Palmer Joss, a man of faith.  They’re opposite ends of a spectrum, until Ellis finds something she did not expect…Contact is an exciting adventure that will launch us to think about what it means to believe.

Meet an Older Friend: Sunday, April 10

Last year this event was a highlight not only for many of our youth, but also for our older friends in the congregation!  Stay after worship on Sunday as we begin the afternoon with a shared meal.  Youth will then have the chance to meet and learn from another member from Good Shepherd who they may not have known before.
