What To Expect
Worship each week
Where the Good News of Jesus’ love for all people at every age in every place on their journey is proclaimed.
Each worship service lasts about 45 minutes. You are invited to come as you are. There is no dress code. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. Plan on arriving 10 minutes early as the parking lot can be crowded and you may need a few extra minutes. While we have handicap parking in both the front and the back of the building, those in the back are closest to the entrance.
A traditional worship service style that uses both the organ and piano, plus a variety of special music offerings.
9:15 & 10:30am
A worship service style that will blend traditional and contemporary sounds and musical selections, along with special music offerings from the adult choir, Sunday school children, bells and soloists.
All are Welcome to Holy Communion
Holy Communion is offered to all who gather on the First, Third and Fifth Sundays of each month.
As Christ offered himself without restriction to those gathered at his last supper in Jerusalem, so too he invites ALL gathered here to partake in this meal. Regardless your age, please hold your hands out if you do commune, and note we serve non-alcoholic wine and have a gluten free option. We offer a blessing to all who come forward who do not yet receive the bread and wine. We serve communion through “intinction” which means you dip the bread into the cup. If you are unable to come forward, a pastor can serve you at your seat. Please indicate this desire to an usher.
Wednesday Night Messy Worship
6:30 p.m. (September–April)
An experiential worship style that includes a more contemplative liturgy and ancient practices like Lectio Divina, Visio Divina and a variety of prayer stations. Holy Communion is served every four weeks. We do a ‘full table’ on Wednesday evening where you are directed to stand or kneel at the communion rail to receive bread and an individual cup of wine.
Once you arrive, a Greeter and or Usher will say, “Hello” and help you with questions. Otherwise, our Welcome Center is staffed and has available helpful information about Good Shepherd. We have a gift waiting at the Welcome Center for first time visitors to receive.
Children in Worship
We are an Intergenerational church and we want our worship service to look it! Children of all ages are welcome and strongly encouraged to attend worship services. Worship bags are available in the back of the sanctuary for you to pick up to assist children whose attention span is still growing. After worship, simply return the bag to the rack. During worship on Sunday and Wednesday evenings, nursery care is available for children birth to 2 years old.
Sunday Education Opportunities
At 9:15, all ages are invited to take a closer look at the Bible Story used in worship. Children of all ages will meet in designated rooms in the Inter Gen Center. Adults meet in Meeting Room 1, which is near the kitchen.
Office Hours and Building Information
The office is open weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The building is open for meetings and church activities from 5:00-9:00 p.m. Sunday-Thursday evenings. Our Building Host will help you with questions and set-up. The main entrance is located on the north side of the church and is open on Sundays and during the week. For security purpose, the south and east entrances are only open on Sundays and for special events.

We recommend that all new members come to the Meet & Greet. If you have any questions, please contact Pastor Leesa Soderlind firstname.lastname@example.org
